True Essence of Christmas

Hmmm… the breeze gets colder and colder. Lanterns twinkle upon the twilight of the cold Christmas nights. Children’s carol hum along the streets. We can’t deny anymore, it really is Christmas.
“What is Christmas for you?” my teacher asked me. Is it about the gifts?, the get together of friends?, the food? Or the money? No. for me it’s about the love. Love for the ones who you really cared for. Like family. This Christmas, my mother told me that we’ll celebrate it together. She gave me promise and I’m hoping for it. As days go by, my heart longs for her to see. I never missed my mother so much like this. Until finally the day that she’d come home finally came. I waited early in the morning just to see her. My heart is full of eagerness to see her. And then suddenly… huh! There she is! My mother hugged me as if there’s no tomorrow. That normal, just think about this, 3 years straight that we didn’t see each other and after  her vacation we’ll wait another 4 years to meet again. She made my Christmas so complete. She always makes it to the point that we enjoy everything together. As a whole, as a family.
Christmas is not about the gifts, the decorations, the money and the parties but, about the love that we share to the ones we love and the birth of our mighty Jesus Christ.
